Saving to Floppy Disk from Appraise-It

The easiest way to save a report from Appraise-It to a floppy disk (without having a copy on your hard drive) is to do as follows:

1.      Put in a clean, formatted floppy disk in your A:\ drive.

2.      Open Appraise-It and start your report.

3.      At some point while working on the report click on File-Save As.

4.      Put A:\ in front of the filename (i.e. A:\99010001.RPT) and this will force it to save to the floppy.

5.      Be sure to save often as you go through the report (hitting Ctrl-S on your keyboard will make this quick and easy).

To take the report off the disk and put it onto another computer, follow the instructions below.

1.      Put the floppy disk with the report into the A: drive on the other computer.

2.      Open Appraise-It.

3.      Once you have the program open, go to File-Open.

4.      Double-click on the [a:] drive on the right side.

5.      Now on the left side you should see the file number.

6.      Double-click on it and it should open the file.

7.      If you want to save this report to this computer, go to File-Save As and it will be saved.

Note:  If you use the File Index to search for a report you have saved to a floppy disk and then try to load it, you will need to put the floppy disk with the report on it in your A: drive or you will get an error message.
