Uninstall Upgrade

An uninstall of Appraise-It is very difficult if you have saved any information after installing the upgrade because the new version updates your data as you use it to the format of the new update. If you uninstall the upgrade of Appraise-It, you will lose any custom skeleton that you updated or created since the upgrade, any reports you saved since the upgrade, and potentially any database files that you saved to during that time, such as the file index and F-keys.

Nevertheless, if you wish to proceed and assuming that you have a backup of your TRADATA directory before the install, then make another backup of your current TRADATA directory. Do not overwrite your preinstall backup! Then in Windows Explorer, delete your TRA and TRAPRIV directories. Then in your TRADATA directory delete your LIB directory and your SKELS directory. Then in your DATA subdirectory delete any reports created since the install.

Reinstall the previous version of Appraise-It. Copy any custom skeletons you may have back into their respective subdirectories or simply copy the SKELS directory from your preinstall backup.  Test Appraise-It and see if you have any database errors. If so, then you will need to replace those database files (DAT and DTA files) in TRADATA with those from your preinstall backup of Appraise-It. Then redo your registration for Appraise-It.
