Skeleton
Out Of Date
After upgrading and opening a report, you may get
this error message: “A
conversion file contains invalid information…” Followed by, “The Report skeleton being
used is old and should be resaved to improve performance.” Or you may need to update your custom skeleton after an upgrade. In
which case, skip to step 2.
1. If the report was created
from a default skeleton,
a) Open the report,
b) Click FILE – SAVE AS
c) Give it the same name as the
old report
d) Click OK and overwrite it.
2. If it was created from a
custom skeleton,
a) Close the report.
b) Open a brand new report
based on our default skeleton for that form type (e.g., UAR_3x5).
c) Click FILE – IMPO
i)
In the right hand column under Directories, double click on the two
dots [..]
(1) Double click on SKELS
(2) Double click on the form
type. For example, for a UAR you would
double click on the [ua2skel]
directory.
ii)
In the left hand column under Files, double click on your custom
skeleton
iii)
Click SELECT ALL
iv)
Click OK. This will import the text from your custom
skeleton. Unfortunately, you will lose
its formatting.
v)
Manually reapply the formatting of your custom skeleton.
vi)
Click FILE – SAVE SKEL
vii)
Enter the name of your skeleton as you browsed it from above.
viii)
Click OK, OK
ix)
Click YES to overwrite
d) Close the report
e) You can now open reports
based on your updated custom skeleton.
