Eliminating
“Spell Check Dictionary Is Too Large” Message
1.
Close Appraise-It, then open Windows Explorer (Start-Programs-Windows
Explorer).
2.
Click once on the
TRA folder on the left-hand side.
3.
Find the Dict.u file on the right-hand side, then
double-click on it.
4.
Scroll down in the
list and choose NOTEPAD for the program to open the file with and uncheck “Always use this program to open
this file”.
5.
When the file opens,
you will see all of the words that you have added to the dictionary in
Appraise-It.
6.
Delete the words
that you no longer need. Make sure you
leave a comma after the last word in the window. When you are finished, go to File and Save,
then close the file.
7.
If you deleted
enough words, you should no longer get the “Spell Check Dictionary is Too Large” message.
We’re not completely sure what the limit is on the number of words you
can add to the dictionary. Deleting the
words you no longer need should suffice.
