Text Keeps Coming Back
If the text in a certain cell keeps reappearing
after you delete it or after you type new information in that cell, you need to
consider three possible sources from which that the old text may be being
transferred into that cell. Text is
transferred from
1) the registration information
in Start – Programs – Report Profile.
2) the main page of the report
3) the report profile (Contents-Report
Profile).
Check these three possibilities first to make
certain that the old text is not coming from one of these three locations. If you do find the
old text in one of these three locations, then correct it there.
After making the correction, make the change in the
original cell where you were having the problem. Then check to see if the
correction will stay by opening and closing the Report Profile.
If not, then you can use a shortcut and disable the
Auto Transfer on the cell where you are experiencing the problem:
1) Left click on that cell, then click Cell – Format.
2) Deselect Auto Transfer and
click Ok.
3) Now it will be impossible
for old information to be Auto Transferred into that cell.
4) Make whatever changes to the
text of that cell that you desire or even delete the contents of that cell, and
your changes will be permanent with Auto Transfer disabled.
