Are you on a single
workstation or on a network?
Single Workstation:
1) Make sure the following directories are on your C: (or installation)
drive. Open Windows Explorer
(Start--Programs--Windows Explorer). You
should see the following directories under your C: drive (you may need to
double-click on (C:) first):
C:\TRA
C:\TRADATA
C:\TRAPRIV
2) Check to see if you accidentally moved any of these directories into
another one. Move it back to the root of
the C: drive if you did.
3) If this doesn’t fix the problem, say Yes to edit TRA.INI. Check the [Directories] section and let us
know what your directories are set to.
Network
1) Make sure your mapped drives are all valid. The easiest thing to do is to reboot your
machine and log into the network again.
2) If you still get the message then check with your network administrator
and see what network drive is established.
3) Click Yes to edit the C:\WINDOWS\TRA.INI file and
look in the [Directories] section. Make sure all the paths with TRADATA in them
are looking at the mapped drive that is connected to TRADATA on the
server.
4) If this doesn’t fix the problem, let us know what your directories are
set to in the [Directories] section.
